Morro de Sao Paulo

After the heat of the carnaval, we went to Morro de Sao Paulo, an island about two hours south of Salvador. It is a bit like Ilha do Mel, quiet, no cars allowed, beaches, sufers and reggae.

We were nine, gathered by CouchSurfing Julio and the gang composed of Belgian-German-French surfers.
We stayed at Julio's grandmothers place, a 93 year old lady, just a door away from the beach! Had a great time, partying and playing with the clay there...

After saying goodbye to or new but dear friends,
one more night in Salvador, first planning to go see a ceremony of Candomble, but time passing by, eating, getting a piercing etc, (video)
eventually we just went to the beach at the Farol de Itapua ;-)

After a 14h flight back (!!!), now back in Porto Alegre, and ready to get started with my project and the auditions!!

I´m sorry to say that I´m afraid you´re the kind of tourists that many other travellers talk about in their blogs as disgusting people spoiling such a nice place.
My wife and I are planning to visit Morro de Sao Paulo on september, and I hope not to find people like you there.
